At first I was worried that this green tint would make everything look green, but I really don't notice any type of color distortion while looking though these binoculars. The focus works really well for me- in my cheaper binoculars, it's difficult to reach focus, but this isnt't the case here. The binoculars feel very light-weight. I have found that some have a better warranty such as Nikon but, I could not pass on the Steiners. I have used Steiners at work for years and they hold up well to abuse and will probably last a life time if handled under normal conditions. I hunt year round and love the fact once the eye pieces are set I don't have to change them. I can see from 20 feet to infinity without adjustment. ...more

Couldn't believe the difference when compared to Nikon Naturalist IV 7x35 (endorsed by the National Audubon Society). Both are comparable weight, but for twice the price of the Nikon, you get an order of magnitude more clarity & brightness. Remarkable! Only drawback is the lack of central focusing. I can easily read the numbers of license plates from 200 feet. Easy to focus and while it is very light it feels rock solid. But be warned that the eye cups are not very deep and so there is a tendency to hit the lens when one blinks. On the other hand, the Steiner specialty of eye cups shaped to block light from the sides work very well.
