During that time they have been from the tops of mountains to the bottom of death valley and most places in between, while being exposed to all the elements of nature during my adventures and have yet to let me down.I find them to be waterproof (or at least highly water resistant), rugged, convenient and always dependable. The image quality is good (though not great). The sport focus system does not really work from 20 yards out (as advertised). It's fairly sharp from 70 yards or so out, but I've found I have to re-focus for the 20-70 yard range. The focus mechanism is fairly stiff, so it does stay put once focused. Despite the minor shortcomings, this binocular was exactly what I was looking for - lightweight, rugged, decent image, reasonable price. ...more

They are tough as a tank and crystal clear. Whether you are spotting deer at 400 yards or watching your kids soccer game the picture is always crisp, clear and requires no adjustment with Steiner's "sport auto-focus" system.
