I've compaired this to my older Bausch and Lomb 7x26 custom compact (the current bushnell 7x26 custom compact), a pair of Olympus Outback 8x21, and a cheap pair of Bushnell 8x21's. The Bausch and Lomb's are pretty much the standard that compact binoculars are judged against. Keeping in mind they are nearly 3x the price of the Steiners, the Steiners stack up well, crisp and clear edge to edge and bright as well.
